OK, the blog is "UP". Thank you, Dawn. Now, the reason David requested it is for emails sent to the board to be posted so that the owners can know what is going on. Also, he and I hope that by posting the letters, maybe it will reduce the nasty-grams. But I don't know, maybe putting the emails "out there" is against some kind of policy. Anyway, thank you for getting this together.

Great! Thanks for tying it out and you are welcome! Great suggestion. I do not know that we should post emails - I'm not sure I would want an email of mind to be posted publicly on a blog but I do think that this is another avenue for people to talk about things and post ideas/solutions or share concerns or even looking to buy or sell something, etc. Spread the word about it. We can all make it what we want it it to be! :)

I just noticed this blog area -- great work!! I really like the idea of posting letters to the board. If there is concern over the information being too public, maybe this could be placed in the secured area like the meeting minutes are.

As an owner, I would really appreciate the opportunity to be more aware of questions to the board AND their answers.

I want to know who spots the first whales! No cheating. You must spot them from the property of Molokai Shores. We aren't coming over until December 2. Mark has a great eye. The challenge is on.

Thanks Dawn for the new web site and the blog. I have a couple of questions and a suggestion. Maybe letting all of us know when one of the owners or renters has gone through the right channels to have a gathering either at the pool or on the greenbelt as I am now watching a car pull out here and set up tables and tried a tent. That way we would not embarrass ourselves and ask what is going on. My questions are about security. If our security leaves at 10pm how does that help us with the quiet hours being ignored? Also how do we contact security if there is a problem while they are suppose to be patrolling? A phone number? And last does the security person have a clipboard with all of the current occupants names and condo numbers? If not it will be difficult to tell who should be here and who shouldn't.
I do agree that the emails to the board should be available for owners to see as well as the responses. This will insure transparency which would be a welcome change. Maybe use the owners code to view them as we have for the financials? Thanks for reading this and for all your hard work! Mahalo-Dennis

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for checking out the blog! I am sending your questions regarding security workings to the rest of the board. I will get back to you on your questions.
If I am aware of parties that have been okay'd through the board - I could post them on the website. I was notified of a recent one being in the works but final details never came to me. However, posting them on the website hadn't occurred - I think that is a great idea!!! Thank you!!
Making emails transparent might also be helpful or at least saying an email was sent (without posting the name) with the question and reply. However, individual board members each get different emails from people and we are all not aware of all of them. Some are posed to Melo and she obtains the answer from one of us.

I will get back to you with more info/responses once I get them! Hope your Saturday is lovely....Aloha - Dawn

Hi Dennis,

I hope you have wonderful holidays! The board thought it was a great idea to announce parties - however - some questions came up regarding approval of parties and this will need to be looked at further. I will bring these questions up at board meeting in February or I hope you will be there too to help address. I did not get a reply on your security questions yet. Chris Cheney has been the main person in regards to security-might be best to address him via email or the board officers in a group email.
And, if you could help spread the word - I have just posted some updates on the pool and changes with insect spraying! That would be appreciated. Thanks so much for all of your feedback and please keep it coming! Aloha - Dawn
